The Spenard Farmers Market will host their 4th annual Market Kickoff Fundraiser on Friday, May 10th at the Taproot Public House. The concert will open with singer songwriter Michael Howard and feature C-Note String Band with High Lonesome Sound. The concert will start at 6:00pm and go until the bar closes.
The concert raises money for the Spenard Farmers Market, Anchorage’s only volunteer led farmers market. The market begins on Saturday, May 18th on the corner of 26th & Spenard, Under the Winmdill, in the parking lot of Chilkoot Charlie's. The Spenard farmers Market features local produce, seafood and meat as well as a variety of high quality handmade local crafters and artisans. The market is a place for community to thrive and hosts special educational and family events.
