Weather it's plant starts you're looking for or just to start your day off right with a stroll through the Market sipping a fresh, hot cup of coffee, we'll have it for you at the Spenard Farmer's Market, Saturday, May 19. Wild Rose Alaska will be helping to kick off the market this Saturday with their unique variety of Alaskan honey and herbal products. Farm Dreams will have a potpourri of plants ranging from vegetable and herb starts for your culinary garden to ornamental varieties of annuals and perennials for a beautiful garden. Sexton Farms will be there with herb and veggie starts and a delicious array of their jams and jellies.
Local gardening rock star Sharon Fergusonat the Backyard Harvest booth. Sharon specializes in consultation for home gardens. She may just be dishing out advice on companion planting, beneficial insects, composting, the benefits of mulch, and much, much more!
The “Dash for Trash” event will be meeting up at the market at 9am on Saturday and we are happy to be hosting the “After Trash” party from 2-4pm. Nothin’ like picking up garbage and buying local to clear your conscience!
