A Full Market for the Long Weekend!

Even if you are planning to go out of town for this Memorial Day weekend, stop by the Market first thing Saturday morning for road trip food and a cup of fresh, hot coffee! The Spenard Farmer's Market will be open from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
One of the highlights Saturday is Marshmelanies returning to the market with gourmet marshmallows including flavors like strawberry lemonade and dirty iceberg. Also in the "sweets aisle" will be Antonio's Greek Bakery with baklava.
The Spenard Farmer's Market will play host to many growers this weekend, including: Frank Wendling's Alaska chocolate lilies, raspberry bushes grown by the Bautista family and Alaska-harvested seeds offered by Foundroot.
Another reason to come early on Saturday... Haiku Heritage City Farm will have SPRING CHICKS! Haiku Heritage City Farm is "a small city farm dedicated to raising rabbits, chickens and a variety of fresh foods in downtown Anchorage."  See you Saturday "under the Windmill" on Spenard Road, in the Chilkoot Charlie's parking lot.
