On Saturday 6/25 from 9 AM-2 PM, the Spenard Farmer’s Market hosted the Bird Treatment and Learning Center’s incredible birds throughout the day. Ginamaria Smith, the Bird Treatment and Learning Center Education Committee Co-Chairperson organized for over 10 different birds as special guests to visit the Market including “Avery” the Stellar Jay, “Fang” a Boreal Owl, “Flame” a Short Horned Owl, “Crawford” a Raven, “Gandolf” a Great Horned Owl, “Artemis” a Great Horned Owl, “Sparky” a Bald Eagle, “Sebastian” a Northern Hawk Owl and “Jasper” a Rough Legged Hawk. The Bird TLC Education Program has over 25 wild birds that provide interactive educational programs that will engage and inspire a sense of wonder.

The Bird Treatment and Learning Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to rehabilitating sick, injured or orphaned wild birds and providing avian education programs to the public. In addition to medical care, Bird TLC provides a variety of educational programs to increase people's awareness of the wild birds around them and to encourage preservation of their habitat.
